Begin your week with a mindful Sunday reset through the art of ikebana.
This four-week series introduces the foundations of ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, in a calm and intimate setting. Each session explores a different principle with the option of enjoying a matcha latte from our very own matcha bar - a simple ritual of flowers, tea, and quiet creativity.
Perfect for solo participants or friends looking to share a restorative Sunday morning or afternoon and gradually deepen their understanding of ikebana.
Our series is limited to 6 participants per session to maintain a relaxed, intimate experience.
Series Outline
Week 1 - Balance & Line
Learn the core principles of ikebana, focusing on structure, balance, and the expressive use of line. Dried flowers will be used.
Week 2 - Moribana
Explore the classic Moribana style using a shallow vessel and kenzan to create your arrangement. Fresh flowers will be used.
Week 3 - Nageire
Discover the elegance of Nageire, arranging flowers in a tall vase with an emphasis on movement and asymmetry. Fresh flowers will be used
Week 4 - Freestyle Arrangement
Apply what you’ve learned to create a seasonal ikebana composition inspired by nature. Fresh flowers will be used.
Each session includes a guided ikebana arrangement and a matcha latte, creating a calming Sunday ritual of flowers, tea, and mindful creativity.
For those looking for a deeper dive into specific styles, you can also explore our Moribana and Nageire dedicated workshops.
